This product is exactly what it looks like. The top and bottom have stiff bars sewn into the outer 6 inches or so to help hold it in a square. It attaches to the seat with elastic hook and loop straps that wrap around the headrest and the bottom of the seat. My only complaint is that the straps were a little short for the large captain's seats in my truck, requiring a bit more stretching than was intended, but it did work. Not sure how they would work if the front seat is a bench seat... not very common anymore except in trucks.

We just purchased an brand new 2010 Odyssey with tan leather interior. I was nervous as having 4 kids, they can really dirty up a car. I bought these and they work perfectly. The bottom elastic is a big snug as it slides over the seat and armrest, but it's fine. I'd rather have it tight than loose. The top secures nicely around the metal headrest adjusters and the protector itself starts right under the handle bar on the back of the seats. They lay completly flat and I love them!! Am ordering another set for the 2nd row seat backs.!

I really like this item. It has stayed in place nicely in both vehicles (one car and one SUV).

I recently bought a Toyota Venza and splurged for the leather interior after many spills, pukes, etc, beat the crap out of my poor Forester's cloth interior. The Venza is great, however, the second row seats are VERY deep and both my children's feet naturally swing forward, kicking the seat back. Although the leather wipes up nicely, it was frustrating to be constantly cleaning the scuff marks. I didn't want to get seat covers (which saved my Forester!), so I was thrilled to find these kick mats. THEY WORK PERFECTLY. I had no issues installing them- my seats are fairly big so I was concerned. They very easily slipped over the seat. The bottom strap tucks in nicely. They don't stand out as "mom gear"- they are very subtle. It was a cheap and effective way to keep my car looking nice. It also reduced the "Can't we ever have anything nice for more than five minutes?!?!" feeling. Everyone can ride happily- my car stays cleans and the kids do not have to fear crazy mom when they accidentally kick the back of the seat. A true win-win.

My kids completely marked up the back of the car seats in my old car from kicking. Recently bought a new car and bought the kick mat shortly thereafter. So far so good...no marks. I would recommend this product to people who care about their car as much as I do.
